The River God makes the 2020 SDWEG Anthology

While the print version of Barking at Dogs is still years off, one of the short stories from the collection features in the upcoming San Diego Writers and Editors Guild Anthology titled Strange Happenings.

The story is ostensibly about fishing naked in South Africa, but it is also a fond look back at the deep friendships, beautiful people, and breathtaking landscape of that fraught country during the waning days of Apartheid in the late 1980s.

Each story works acts as a glimpse into the past, and I hope it helps my readers and listeners better understand the complex social and legal frameworks that defined life in that country.
